Encouraging growth and excellence in the art of watercolor through shows, demonstrations, classes and camaraderie.
A dozen local artists founded the society in June of 1995 to promote arts throughout the Black Hills and the surrounding Plains States. Through workshops, educational programs, lectures and shows the new organization hoped to enrich the cultural understanding of our community.
With the help of the Dakota Artists’ Guild, The Dahl Fine Arts Center, The Journey and local sponsors we launched new opportunities for artists to show and win awards for their achievements.
