Sarah is a contemporary water media artist, and texture abstractionist. She loves and works in all mediums. Born and raised in Ohio, she eventually moved West and has lived in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota since 1986. Sarah has developed a unique style in her painting that has gained her two signature memberships in WYWS, and NPWS. Sarah is also a member of the AWS, and RRWS. Sarah’s artwork can be found in many private collections throughout the United States. She has been juried into many shows and won various awards. Her first place award in 2019 by juror Mark Mehaffey was especially gratifying. Sarah has shown work at the Dahl Art Center, The Journey Museum, The Sheridan, WY library, Red River Watercolor show in Morehead, Minn. Sarah attended a Summer semester for fine art at Kansas University and took fine art courses at Black Hills State University for a few years. Art has been an important factor throughout Sarah’s life. She fell in love with Winslow Homer, and Andrew Wyeth’s work at a young age. Watercolor is her first love, but she likes to push the limits to see what else the medium can produce. She has spent countless hours developing her skills through personal study, many online art classes and numerous workshops over the years. Sarah considers herself an abstractionist.
